Health Communication in COVID-19 Situation of Department of Disease Control using Infographic Narratives

Abstract

The purpose of this research aim to study a health communication by using infographic media narrative. This is a qualitative research that uses textual analysis in 31 topics of infographic media on the COVID-19 situation of the Department of Disease Control, which is under the Ministry of Public Health.

The results showed that infographic media elements on the COVID-19 situation of the Department of Disease Control such as 1) numeral, 2) alphabet, 3) text, 4) icon, 5) geometry, 6) chart or diagram, 7) cartoon, 8) photograph, 9) cold tone color and 10) warm tone color. As for the narration with infographic media on the COVID-19 situation It consists of a plot, theme, symbol, and character.

Moreover, the health communication of the Department of Disease Control using infographic media narrative on the COVID-19 situation has public health agenda that published which is 1) providing general information, 2) promoting awareness of risk factors, 3) raising awareness, 4) promoting participation, and 5) listening to opinions.
